Analysis Engineer - Powertrain Thermal Systems

MISSION

Develop and create comprehensive analysis reports on Powertrain amp; Thermal systems technologies, performances, and control strategies from the latest and most innovative electric vehicles.

TASKS amp; RESPONSABILITIES

Scope of activity: Powertrain amp; Thermal Systems

• High voltage battery: from cell to pack level
• Powertrain: inverters, e-motors, transmissions
• High-voltage components: converters, chargers, heaters, compressors
• Thermal systems: heat pump, coolant system, heating system, HVAC, cabin comfort

Analyze data collected by A2MAC1 within the scope

• Understand new electric vehicles, electric powertrains, thermal systems
• Understand A2MAC1 benchmark activities and data acquisition processes: teardown, measurements, pictures, schematics, embedded instrumentation, testing protocols
• Work with data and tools within the A2MAC1 online platform
• Analyze testing data to assess vehicle and systems performances and control strategies: Range, consumption, battery capacity, powertrain efficiency, driving and recovering modes strategy, all-wheel drive strategy, heat pump behavior, battery cooling/heating, cabin cooling/heating

• Study and understand the impact of ambient temperature on performances and control strategies
• Identify highlights and innovative solutions in collaboration with the production teams

Create and develop analysis report content

• Write comprehensive reports to explain analysis results
• Create charts, schematics, 3D views, and other illustrations to supply the reports

• Identify new analysis opportunity, contribute to product improvement by defining new process and deliverables
• Apply improvements as retro-active modifications on previous studies

Other activities

• Contribute to continuous improvement of data acquisition process and work instructions
• Contribute to quality check and quality improvement of data available on A2MAC1 online platform
• Contribute to A2MAC1 platform and online tools improvement
• Participate in customer presentation and training sessions
• Contribute to customer request evaluation
