Full Stack Developer (Asset Impact) - Paris or Berlin

Asset Impact (AI) is an impact-driven climate start-up.
We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer with a specialization in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join the AI team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both front-end and back-end web development and a passion for creating intuitive and visually appealing website applications for data centric products, as well as a strong understanding of AWS technologies and best practices.
Responsibilities
You will develop and maintain web applications and APIs. We have an AWS hosted web application using a modern serverless microservice architecture. The UI is developed in React and TypeScript.
You will also help develop our data ingestion and modelling platform. Collaborating with other team members such as data scientists and engineers, you will identify and prioritize project requirements, write clean and well tested code, and encourage good coding practices team.
Location and duration
- Ideally full-time employment. Freelance possible.
- Ideally Paris or Berlin in-person. Remote possible
Requirements
- Right to work in France or Germany.
Required skills
- A history utilizing AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB and API Gateway to build scalable and fault-tolerant systems
- Strong experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and preferably TypeScript
- Proficiency in at least one front-end framework (such as React or Angular)
- Experience with at least one back-end programming language, preferably Python
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with Agile
- English as a working language
Preferred skills
- Experience creating an API for a data company (client security, data usage, etc.)
- Experience as a scrum master
- Development of strong testing infrastructure
- Mentoring of team members
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication skills
- Interest in sustainability
