Valneva is a specialty vaccine company focused on the development, manufacturing and commercialization of prophylactic vaccines for infectious diseases with significant unmet medical need. The Commercial Demand Planner will be the focal point of the relationship between sales, production, supply chain, finance and marketing departments.
He/she will make sure market needs are met on time in full, taking into account supply constraints and Company’s inventory targets. He/she will do his/her best to exploit and mitigate scrap risk and stockouts.
He/she will generate reports and metrics to best update sales forecast, share the most realistic demand planning, closely work with site to size supply plans and attend monthly SnOP meetings
He/she will also be a member of key Project Teams including SOX (Audit/QA requirements), New product or supplier introduction and continuous improvement.
Main responsibilities of this role:
1. Drive the SnOP process from countries: data consolidation, data analysis, updating of global demand plan and translating into a revised supply plan. Present an updated and realistic monthly SnOP plan + metrics to respective governance bodies
2. Using historical sales data, work closely with Valneva’s country managers to analyze sales forecast trends and estimate future product demand
3. Update and monitor SnOP KPIs such as sales forecast accuracy, inventory level, scrap risks so to drive the demand planning the most effective way
4. Work with Valneva’s and 3PP supply planners to optimize demand, inventory level and supply plan, in accordance with company’s objectives
5. Monitor and report on material variances vs budget/ forecast. Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner and support management with risk assessments and mitigation plan
6. Follow up any risk of stock out situation or scrap risk and take best mitigate actions
7. Attend monthly SnOP meetings (Demand, Supply, Operations)
8. Attend monthly COMC (commercial/finance) and SOC (Supply/finance/RA/commercial) meetings
9. Collect and analyze sales forecast data to monthly update the LBE used for finance review and demand planning
10. Built a new forecasting tool using in markets market sales data, Actuals, travelers market insights, seasonality, product profile (NPI, routine)
11. Build scenario vs multiple assumptions (market growth, competition, NPI, supply constraints)
12. Built strong relationship with country managers, regulatory, finance, supply chain and quality
13. Represent Commercial Demand Planning function in projects including New Product Introductions, Business operation improvement, tool upgrade and continuous improvementRequirements
