Job Description

Responsible for leading the development, execution and governance of company-wide sustainability strategy and initiatives (internal and external).

Engage with the executive committee and leadership teams across functions and geographies to shape the governance and oversight for all A2MAC1 Sustainability activities.

Ensure alignment of Sustainability outcomes with A2MAC1 growth objectives and inspire our employees to contribute towards the achievement of our Sustainability goals and targets.


Roadmap

  • Map amp; assess the current state of Sustainability across the company and implement a process to maintain this assessment up to date.
  • Builds A2MAC1’s first comprehensive and coordinated global sustainability strategy, including areas of focus and long-term goals in close collaboration and alignment with key internal and external stakeholders. The main sustainability workstreams that would serve as the building-blocks for the future strategy include:
  • Defining targets and an action plan regarding Climate Change and the direct and indirect carbon footprint of our operations across the world in coordination with the COO and his/her teams. This mainly entails the monitoring of our GHG emissions, the constant identification of reduction levers, and the definition of ambitious reduction targets. The reduction levers include, for example, performing eco-design audits of A2MAC1 software and digital platforms to identify possible improvements such as sourcing data storage from low-carbon datacenters or reducing the need for data storage through leaner codes/files, optimization of the user experience, etc.
  • Defining targets and an action plan regarding Circular Economy by reducing, reusing, recycling and/or recovering waste generated from our operations. This includes mainly end-of-life vehicles and electrical and electronic waste.
  • Defining targets and an action plan regarding the Balance amp; Inclusion in coordination with the CHRO and its global teams. The focus is on meaningful activities with mid-long term impact on internal and external people amp; environment.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders on our customer Sustainability offerings in order to leverage them as part of our ESG amp; Sustainability roadmap and promote our vision and mission to drive the decarbonization of the mobility industry worldwide in close coordination with our CRO and his/her teams.
  • Contribute to the development our Sustainability Offerings linked to carbon foot-printing of products using LCA (Life Cycle Analysis) methodologies. Engage with internal and external stakeholders on our offerings in order to leverage them as part of our Sustainability roadmap and promote our vision and mission to drive the decarbonization of the mobility industry worldwide. This will be done in close coordination with our CRO and his/her teams
  • Defining targets and a dedicated governance on Health amp; Safety improvements worldwide to protect the health of our employees.

Operational change management

  • Be a change agent and promote the broader sustainability mindset across A2MAC1 organization as an integral part of the business decision making: engages leaders at all levels, shares expertise freely, and inspires the organization to create win-wins for the business and the planet. Educates the organization on our progress and how they can contribute.
  • Ensures a strong connection between central objectives and regional activity.
  • Be the link to ensure alignment on strategy, implementation plan and external communication.


Legal amp; compliance

  • Be on the forefront of knowledge in the sustainability space in the industry, keeping him/herself up to date on all regulations (at country level or more) and informing/educating the key stakeholders internally.
  • Creates mechanisms to measure progress and hold the organization accountable for its commitments
  • Drive sustainability assessments (through key external stakeholders e.g., Ecovadis).
  • Identify legal and compliance risks and provide guidance and operational support for solutions.
  • Develop analytical capabilities to provide analysis on trends and expectations in the external environment.

Reporting

  • Build the dashboard with KPIs appropriate to our business model and sustainability culture we want to embody.
