Belmond is seeking a General Manager of Les Bateaux Belmond, a fleet of luxury barges operating in Burgundy, Champagne and Provence. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader with a passion for excellence and storytelling in travel, a strong cultural awareness and an unswerving approach to maintaining standards. The ideal candidate will embrace and deliver the Vision of Belmond, be responsible for strategic planning, efficient operations and leadership, and strive towards Belmond’s brand strategy of being the number one luxury travel experience in the world.
ABOUT LES BATEAUX BELMOND
A fleet of seven luxurious barges or floating villas make up Les Bateaux Belmond. Cruising along the sun-dappled waterways of France, they offer slow travel at its finest.
Each elegant boat has been designed with thoughtful details that conjure up the locale. Gleaming en-suite bathrooms, lavish spaces for relaxation both inside and out, antiques, murals, heated pools and even a grand piano are among the refined creature comforts. The biggest barge accommodates up to 12 guests, the smallest just 4. Some are available per cabin, others are private charter.
Guests enjoy the services of a private crew, dedicated guide and personal chef alongside a host of exclusive experiences, including wine tastings and château visits. Aboard Coquelicot, the newest vessel, Belmond’s partnership with Champagne Ruinart means guests enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of the vineyards and an exclusive lunch on board prepared by Ruinart’s chef. Private charters can be tailored to guests’ preferences with activities including market tours, cookery classes, truffle hunting, horse-riding, water sports and golf. Special interest journeys take in Michelin-starred restaurants and the Grand Cru wines of Burgundy.
