An opportunity has arisen to join Eurostar as its Assistant Duty Control Manager.

This is an excellent role for someone to assist the Duty Control Manager (DCM) in looking after the operational management of the Lille, Brussels and Paris based traincrew.

You will produce cost effective daily rosters for traincrew, ensuring the service requirements are met by the necessary traincrew resources being rostered to guarantee the cover of the transport plan.

The ADCM also ensure booking-on and booking-off of continental amp; UK crews when ADCM UK is not present. You will disseminate information to traincrew concerning alterations with regards to their job and take part in the elementary tasks of the other position of the Control Room Eurostar if needed by using internal digital tools.

The position is based in our Control Room in Lille. The working patterns are 2x8 ,7 days a week including Bank Holidays.

Requirements

We are looking for someone to...

  • Take in charge the logistic topic regarding the management of the crew members (logistic, cover allocation, etc.).
  • Take an active role in ensuring that the traincrew resources required for the delivery of the service are in position, through production of the daily rosters and hour by hour utilisation of available resources.
  • Liaise with the ADCM UK, ensuring up to date information is exchanged and any potential crew related problem are managed in a common way.
  • Ensure non-essential safety tasks in disseminating information to traincrew concerning alterations to train running, avis urgents and changes to operating rules and procedures.
  • Document all relevant daily information and maintain records as requested by the Control Room Manager.

You'll need ...

  • A degree or strong experience in transport and logistic is expected.
  • Knowledge of or the ability to learn the traincrew rostering package and use of PC based word processing packages.
  • Experience in the management of resources and/or in Rail operation appreciated.
  • To be competent in English and French language, level B2 required.
  • To be a good communicator and the ability to liaise with other functions, taking the initiative as necessary even in disruption.
  • The ability to work under pressure.
