Job Description
Allurion is looking for a Global Events Manager to become a dynamic and integral part of our Events team, which reports into our Global Professional Education function.
Events play a huge part in the success of the organization and effective behavior change. As the Global Events Manager, you'll organize conferences, seminars, and exhibitions, as well as parties and corporate incentive trips. You'll manage the whole process from the planning stage (including full budget management and tracking), right through to running the event and carrying out the post-event evaluation.
Responsibilities of the Global Events Manager include:
- Full project management of an event from start to end
- Deliver events in line with the annual events calendar and the agreed budget
- Find, secure, and liaise with appropriate venues depending on the type of event.
- Manage registrations, travel bookings, agendas and communications of attendees.
- When organizing an internal event, liaise with the commercial team on event locations, attendee details
- Provide full detailed proposals to present to the commercial team
- Work effectively with event/travel agencies and destination management companies
- Work cross functionally within Allurion to deliver various events for functions outside of Professional Education (e.g. Marketing events, medical congresses etc.)
- Collaboration with internal teams to produce high quality content (stage sets, event branding amp; collateral, invites and other marketing) and accurate data of attendance following each event (For ROI and reporting purposes)
What we are looking for in you:
- At least 5 years’ experience in event management preferably internationally
- Good industry knowledge and negotiation skills
- Highly organized
- Adaptability- able to be agile and calm when things change last minute
- Problem solving skills
- Analytical skills, including a strong ability to work with numbers
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Professional yet friendly with a positive outlook and solution focused.
- Ability to travel frequently
- High level of proficiency in English other languages are a bonus
