Job Description
BMAT is teaming up with a global music streaming service to revolutionize the way copyrights and royalties are handled in the online world. As we transition from discovery to an MVP phase, we're building an agile product team that can successfully execute this mission-critical project.
As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a service that fulfills our global customers' vision. You will work closely with the clients to understand their needs and transform them into an agile development roadmap, and oversee the engineering team in charge of implementing it.
We're looking for someone with a proven track record owning data-intensive products in agile B2B environments, who can deliver a scalable product with a strong market fit within a strictly defined timeframe.
Previous experience in the music business is a plus. A strong belief that music can save the world is a must.
What you’ll be doing:
- Define the product strategy and roadmap
- Manage the product throughout its lifecycle from concept to end-of-life
- Replace a legacy product, recombining existing modules and developing new ones
- Collect, manage and maintain traceability of requirements from all stakeholders across product releases
- Be the recognized expert in the business on the product, the market, relevant technology and the competition.
- Develop core positioning and messaging for the product
- Perform product demos to customers and develop relationships in key clients
- Collate feedback from sales and customers
- Evangelize the product internally and externally
- Be recognized as a leader in the business and build relations with business stakeholders
- Lead quality assurance, implement and manage changes when necessary to meet project outputs
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Product Manager
- Master in Management or IT related subjects
- Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
- Knowledge/experience in strategic planning, risk management and change management in IT related projects.
- Experience in the music industry and/or B2B product management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Technical background, with experience in Jira
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Proven leadership skills and team player
- Able to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent decision-making, critical thinking and problem solving
- Examples and at least one sample of an effective document delivered in the past
- The candidate must be able to work in our Paris office. They will work with the rest of the French team, as well as meeting with customers, clients and partners
- The candidate must be able to attend industry conferences/events in the country
- Mandatory languages: Fluent in English and French and intermediate Arabic. Spanish is a plus
