In the Jellysmack ecosystem, JellyStudio is a scalable post-production solution leveraging data to deliver over-performing digital content. We are building a marketplace between operators and creators. Our mission is to help content creators get the best post-production with amazing quality and performance.
We all work with a wonderful tribe to achieve our goals. Backend, Frontend Engineers, Applied Scientists, Data Scientists, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, Cloud Engineers, and Product Managers, and more than 150 people are behind the scenes every day to allow our creators to exploit their full potential. JellyStudio is looking for a Senior Applied Scientist to join the team!
Your mission:
Leverage data to build better solutions for decision-makers, all in a strong spirit of collaboration. You will use the right libraries to address product and business challenges. Your communication skills will enable you to dialogue with the various stakeholders, gather their needs, and present your results in an educational manner.
As part of a team with many different data profiles (applied scientist, research scientist, AI product manager, data scientist, data engineers, machine learning engineers, business analyst) in order to share knowledge, you will have the opportunity to be a mentor for more junior teammates at the algorithmic level.
- We have two major distinct prediction topics:
- Predict the future earnings of the content already posted on media platforms. Ex In Jellyfi we predict the future earnings of the back catalog of the creators by buying their old content without making any modifications to it.
- Forecast future performance of content creators across social media platforms to assist JellySmack in making the best partnership decision. Also, to help creators create and publish the best content possible, because if we can predict earnings before publication, we can do that.
Some examples of the many data science topics covered in the tribe you will be in:
- Optimize the staffing of our marketplace: solve the interesting assignment problem by matching tasks and operators in a way that can be scaled up, and also improve the performance of our videos.
- Dynamic pricing: As in every marketplace, give the right price to the right task in order to fairly retribute the operators for their work and guarantee a good and profitable delivery pace.
- AB Testing edited videos: all edited videos are tested before posting them on network platforms. We use ML here to have good control over the quality of the content we post.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Problem-solving support in high-impact use cases and projects.
- Participating in company decisions that are related to or impacted by the field of expertise.
- Share what you know through regular presentations and workshops with the data team.
- Support teams in making scientific and technological choices.
- Participating in internal training on the subjects of expertise: design, build, and delivery of training.
- Maintaining their expertise.
A little about you:
- MS or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of experience in the industry.
- The industrialization of ML and Deep learning models holds no secrets for you. You have already sent and tracked dozens of models into production in different technical environments.
- Solid Python and software engineering skills.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
