Job Description

Key Skills:

  • Technical Literacy You will possess a high level of technical literacy, which helps to determine how a software solution fits into the current structure. You will be able to piece together complete solutions and optimise them. You will be able to bridge the technical knowledge gap between the business and IT.
  • Technical You will have strong technical skills as you will need to examine current requirements and apply solutions as appropriate and new systems and determine overall project needs and scope.
  • Business Acumen You will possess an excellent all-round knowledge of business processes in a manufacturing and supply chain environment
  • Team Leadership You will have team leader skills as you will oversee and lead an IT department. You will also be required to lead cross functional virtual teams throughout the project life cycle. You will be required to share knowledge and empower teams to deliver premier customer service.
  • Communication You will be responsible for communicating with team members, customers, and external vendors, so you will need to exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be able to confidently communicate with all levels of the organisation.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Provide management, leadership and direction to the team and to ensure that the IT systems and services provided significantly contribute to the business achieving its goals.
  • Overseeing support activities in conjunction with infrastructure and Governance to ensure the systems perform as expected in production.
  • Represent the business functions needs within IT and ensure that activities are aligned to business needs and objectives.
  • Manage relationships with business leaders, major vendors and service providers to ensure they cost-effectively meet the needs of the organisation.
  • Ensure that continual system updates can be taken as part of Business as Usual whilst working with stakeholders to accomplish this in a way that improves the business and minimises its ongoing support costs.
  • Ensures systems remain compliant and supported throughout their lifecycle of operation.
    1. Gain a deep understanding of the business and its processes to ensure the business has confidence in IT and believe that IT are an effective partner.
    2. Identification of opportunities for improvement and removal of non-value added activities.
    3. Manage staff, assets, structure and budget to provide a customer focused site IT Team of high standards.
    4. Set and agree key accountabilities, standards of performance and personal objectives for all team members.
    5. Monitor, regularly review and provide feedback on performance of staff.
    6. Maintain IT resources and ensure completeness of control and traceability.
    7. Share expertise within the Norgine network across all sites.
    8. Build an effective site IT team which consistently manages and meets customer expectations.
    9. Partner with the business to facilitate a standardised approach to common IT issues/opportunities
    10. Effectively communicate with business and IT colleagues in different offices and from different cultures (international travel will be required).
    11. Maintain up to date process documentation, to meet the requirements of documentary evidence for the implementation of systems.
    12. Be an ambassador for change within the IT function, working collaboratively to ensure the IT functions integration throughout organisation.
