Dark is born to change the way we go to space from Earth. But it all starts with a rocket held safely under a plane and ends with a payload reaching orbit without compromising its structural integrity.
Our mechanical engineers already pre-sized the major structures. As we are moving fast on our definition of the rocket, you will help us set up the major FEA models and play a key part in our structural sizing loop.
Responsibilities
- Set up the FEA models of parts and assemblies of our rocket,
- Perform preliminary and detailed static and dynamic analyses,
- Participate in trade studies in coordination with the design teams,
- Support development work on the rocket and engine structures,
- Support and exploit our qualification tests,
Requirements
- At least 3 years of proven industry experience in structural analysis, with a strong grounding in applying FEA to real world problems,
- Proficient use of both hand calculations for basic structural analysis and FEA methods (ideally Abaqus),
- Experience with various analyses and failure modes: nonlinearities, thermostructural loads, fatigue, damage tolerance, vibroacoustics and shocks, modal analysis,
- Familiarity with test-data processing and interpretation for test-analysis correlation is a plus,
- Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner.
Benefits
- High level technical colleagues and partners, first circle staff of the company,
- Customizable office setup, open to remote,
- Highly competitive salary, welcome bonus and equity,
