Botify is looking for an Compliance amp; Security Engineer with proven Security background. You can expect to oversee major security projects (experiment, evaluate and implement new security initiatives and products). In parallel, you participate in some compliance tasks (we are SOC 2 certified), as well as answering security questionnaires from customers. Last, you’ll be involved in incident response management and engineering projects security reviews.
To be successful as a Compliance amp; Security Engineer, you should have technical foresight, great communication skills, working knowledge of different engineering disciplines and how they relate to one another, and an aptitude for managing risk.
Key Responsibilities:
Pen tests : RFP, selection of the security company, coordination and results analysis + followup
AWS literacy (and/or GCP). Not afraid to deploy a new product in a sandbox on AWS
Able to review code and/or review project plans and technical architecture
Willingness to organise training sessions for devs around security (possibly up to company-wide secu awareness training)
Contribute (part of a team with tools and processes) answers to security questionnaires, especially in closing months (June, Sept, November, December)
Contribute tooling around compliance, for example automate some audits (scripting) to detect control failures (unauthorized access could be one) and automatically create remediation tickets
Collaborate with the Infra team (we use mainly Ansible and Terraform) to deploy things the right way

- You currently work within the Infrastructure/DevOps/SRE team of a startup or tech company, or as a developer in a security-focused company. You are looking for your next exciting challenge within a fast-growing tech startup fostering a collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills (you work in the open, report progress regularly)
- Strong technical skills (Debian/Ubuntu, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Web technologies)
- Previous development experience in Python (ideally Django)
- Knowledge of AWS or equivalent platform
- Full professional proficiency in spoken and written English
- Contributor or regular user of Open Source projects is a plus
