Job Description
Botify recherche des ingénieurs avec un bon niveau de français et d'anglais (à l'oral amp; à l'écrit) et mobiles à Paris (télétravail possible).Your roleYou like to drive complex backend projects, from architecture design to optimizing under heavy performance constraints, and want to help specify and develop our next API backend services. A typical workload in Botify involves joining 3 to 7 datasets ranging from 10s to 1000s million lines, and serving the result under 3 seconds to our frontend layer. We have a mature CI/CD environment, work in short cycles (2 week sprints) with daily staging and production deployments. You’ll be part of an autonomous squad in permanent contact with the product managers.Some typical projects- Improve our custom DSL called "Botify Query Language" (BQL) which connects to different backends and calls them, and normalizes the results depending on what the user asked for.
- Contribute to the API documentation available at https://developers.botify.com/.
- Refactor and revamp some dark corners of our Python stack
We have a strong culture of sharing : As a member of the technical team, you participate in customer support and will be in charge of bug triaging/mitigation a few weeks per year. You can also collaborate with our Data Science team, give talks, animate workshops, and coach more junior team members.Your skills- You have a meaningful experience with Python and Django.
- You already built large - both public and private - APIs for querying large amounts of data (w/ client-side query definition).
- You are into performance analysis (CPU, I/O, memory, application profiling)
- You are familiar with Git.
- Your technical approach is a mix of pragmatism and thoroughness (DRY, tests FIRST). You prefer iterative development and continuous refactoring, you hate tunnel work.
- Knowing Django Rest Framework or an equivalent stack is a must have.

- Experience in building publicly available (and documented) APIs
- Knowledge of web-based platforms
- Knowledge of CI/CD
- Communication skills
- Professional proficiency in English and French
