Role Purpose
To provide financial reporting with according to GAAP and accounting services including the maintenance of books amp; records for the Company, preparing the payments and quarterly VAT returns.
Major part of the role will be ensuring that the company’s purchases and controlled, analysed, and efficiently reported.
Responsibilities
Ensuring the compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Monitoring and application of any recent financial law changes. Giving advice on application of IAS. Being able to interpret the accounting standards and suggesting the best practices for the business.
Developing of automation of bookkeeping and reports.
Ownership of financial recording and bookkeeping tasks within daily (post journals, investigate ageing balances and look for resolution, bank reconciliation reviews etc.), monthly TB reconciliation to ensure timely and accurate month end close for the UK entity
Perform and develop existing financial control processes, forecasting and assisting in budgeting
Control the operating expenses to ensure adherence to budget limits
Payment run processing
Prepare financial data and reports for business management in the form and at the frequency required by the management. Provide management information of a financial nature, and its interpretation for effective business decision making.
Constantly strive for enhancements of the finance control framework
Assisting in the preparation of the budget
Other ad hoc projects assigned by Head of Finance.
Requirements
Professional qualification in accounting/finance discipline (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc) or final stages
Strong academic background and degree educated.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Experience working at a similar level
Good time management amp; organisational skills
Honesty and integrity in all aspects of their work.
Excellent IT skills including MMS office and Excel
Highly competent in time management
Good knowledge of reconciliation principles and basic accounting knowledge for accruals and prepayments processes
