We’re Getir, the pioneers of super-fast delivery. We deliver groceries such as sandwiches to shampoo, dog food to beer, in an average of ten minutes. Founded in 2015, we now deliver hundreds of thousands of orders a day from more than 300 locations in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Netherlands, and Turkey. In 2021, we plan to rock the streets and doorsteps of many, many more cities across the world, including the USA, spreading the experience and wonder of seamless, super-fast delivery that simply works for everyone. To make super-fast delivery possible, we don’t refrain from getting involved in all the aspects that go into it. However, we like to do everything in a startup-savvy way that is driven by technology.
We are looking for an expert in French labor law to join our team as full-time legal counsel for Getir business in France!
Employees are at the heart of our business, after all just about everyone in our value chain are employees and while we pioneer a new industry, many queries arise about how we should approach topics related to labour. In France, we want to make a huge impact with our Getir business and we’ll only do that with a seasoned Employment Counsel on board to lead the way. If you are an expert in French labour law and thrive on counselling business leaders with the best practical legal advice, this is the role for you!
What you'll do:
- Provide timely legal counsel, information, advice, support, and guidance on French employment compliance and labor matters, including all policies and procedures
- Strengthen the collaboration with the human resources department including reviewing and updating all existing processes and implementing new processes as needed
- Keep the company's senior management informed of significant labor and employment decisions, legislation, and regulatory rulings that may affect the company's business or policies
- Assist in the development of broader legal strategies to help effectively position the company for future employee growth both domestically and internationally
- Research intensively on local legislation and regulatory frameworks.

Requirements
- At least five years practicing French labor law in a law firm or in-house. French qualified lawyer
- Significant experience and a proven ability in roles requiring excellent analytical skills, legal writing, and outstanding research ability.
- Proven track record of delivering consistently on complex projects under challenging circumstances with a sense of urgency, but with the ability to also keep broader strategic objectives in focus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with significant experience and proven success in roles requiring the ability to interface at all levels, building strong relationships internally and externally.
- Fluency in both French and English, the operating language of our international people organization.
