Head of People amp; Culture
GOURMEY is France's pioneering cultivated meat company. We create delicious and sustainable restaurant-grade meats directly from animal cells.
At GOURMEY, we are building an international team of scientists and food lovers. We gathered 21 talents that joined us from the US, Spain, Macedonia, the Netherlands, France. For now, most of the team works on Ramp;D (half of them hold a PhD) but as we expand we are increasingly recruiting more diverse profiles. Following a recent $10M Seed round, we are looking to build our HR department in order to support our strong growth. As our first Head of People amp; Culture, you will face a double challenge: recruiting a team of A-players, while fostering a cohesive, mission-driven and caring company culture. Reporting directly to the CEO and CTO, your role will be to develop or consolidate all HR aspects of the company.
What you will be doing
- Being responsible for fostering GOURMEY’s ever-improving culture and values on a daily basis.
- Being responsible for all HR strategic projects (performance review, promotion review, training, people wellbeing...)
- Continuously improving our practices in terms of recruitment, onboarding and employee engagement, keeping an innovative approach.
- Design the perfect hiring process and ensure that it is running smoothly.
- Map all recruitment needs, anticipate job openings and help managers attract and hunt the best profiles on the market.
Requirements
About you
- Passionate about GOURMEY’s mission.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken. We are an international team, no need to speak French!
- 3+ years of work experience in early-stage fast-growing international companies, ideally in the Deeptech/Science sector.
- A track record of being an innovative person, having delivered HR initiatives and change activities successfully.
- Enthusiast, with a strong work ethic and self-motivation; a sense of ownership and responsibility to drive outcomes. A positive, can-do attitude.
- Cherry on the cake: a strong network in the Biotech, science industries.
