Overview of the Position
Global Citizen is expanding its French content and actions into new markets. As part of this project, we’re hiring a native French-speaking Translator to assist with several editorial functions as part of the Global Citizen Live campaign. This role will report to our Languages Manager, and will be responsible for translating, and uploading to our Content Management System French-language content on the GC platform.
Responsibilities
- Translate market-relevant content (editorial; campaign actions; internal documents, web pages etc) from English into French, and sometimes from French into English.
- Upload onto our content management system on globalcitizen.org
- Collaborate with the Languages Manager during projects and campaigns to achieve communications objectives.
- Integrate and adapt GC messaging into content pieces and across relevant markets.

Requirements
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in journalism, communications, media, or political science background
- Previous experience translating English to French for professional publications
- Experience writing original content in a journalistic fashion in French
- A passion for Global Citizen’s vision of ending extreme poverty by the year 2030
- Comfortable working with content management systems
