Job Description

Core Biogenesis leverages the scalability of plants to simplify and accelerate the mass-production of sustainable, high-performance recombinant molecules used today in Cultured Meat and Cellular Therapy and a new generation of biopharmaceuticals.

By using plants and proprietary synthetic biology technologies to build the world’s most scalable bioproduction platform, we aim to unlock the promises of the bioeconomy.

Core Biogenesis is a young and rapidly scaling biotechnology startup, based in Paris and Strasbourg, France. Founded in 2020 by Chouaïb Meziadi and Alexandre Reeber, it is backed by some of the best European investors including Entrepreneur First and XAnge.

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Associate who will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy for our Cellular Agriculture vertical (Cell based products including Cultivated Meat amp; Fish). Working to satisfy customers’ needs and requests, you should aspire to deliver a positive experience and help grow the company by building successful, long-term relationships.


Responsibilities
  • Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Act as the point of contact and handle customers’ individual needs
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Report on the status of accounts and transactions
  • Set and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives
  • Monitor sales metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.

Requirements

  • Relevant academic degree in life science/biology. Marketing and Business Administration a plus
  • Hands on experience (+3 years) in sales, preferably in an early stage startup
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise in or knowledge of Cellular Agriculture
  • Proven sales track record with an ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Knowledge of CRM softwares
  • Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Passion for Cellular Agriculture
  • Proficiency in English
