At Dark, we want to go the extra mile, and offer a premium service. Our air-launched rocket being more constrained than usual solutions by the plane interface, we will need to exploit to perfection our design in order to reach the targeted performance.
Your job will be to derive the performances of the rocket from the aerodynamic, structure, and propulsion inputs. You will be the one setting the specifications for the guidance sensors and actuators defining the overall time constant of the rocket. (No showing off on the performances, please, it's a rocket, not a missile :) ). You will mainly work with Guillaume, who has already looked at the main technical contributors and will drive the system cohesion.
First missions
- Regarding our trajectory, establish the cardinal point specification of our sensors and actuators
- Carry out analysis studies or performance files related to the critical edge functions
- Define the acceptable attitude envelope for the rocket flight
- Put together the necessary environment for the definition and test of the guidance laws
Responsibilities
- Define the guidance / piloting algorithms prototype, and the associated performance specifications
- Define requirements for the actuators necessary for piloting the rocket
- Choose the necessary sensors for the navigation
- Ensure the rocket integrity during its flight
Requirements
- You have at least 5 years of experience
- Significant background in physics and a knowledge of objects flying in and out of the atmosphere
- Matlab isn't a problem for you. Wan't to set up new tools? We're open to suggestions.
- You're a good teacher
