As you can imagine, the separation with the plane and its demonstration will be an important part of your work. Not omitting the low atmosphere flight for both rockets. Clyde already led the first separation studies. Regarding these parameters, you might also contribute to the mechanical specifications.
First missions
- Set the first level of specifications for the separation phase
- Create or set a parametric model to give inputs for other fields
- Technical support for our negotiations with the carrier aircrafts
Responsibilities
- Define aerodynamic configurations in line with specifications
- Develop the characterization in external aerodynamics, mainly by CFD including if necessary the effect of the propulsion on the external aerodynamics
- Participate of wind tunnel performance tests
- Perform aerodynamic modeling and calculations
- Carry out studies for integration into platforms and start-up phase simulations
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of aerodynamic methods
Requirements
- 7 years of similar experiences, proven knowledge in missile systems is definitely a plus
- You have a critical point of view on simulation and aerodynamic testing
- CFD and programming skills are essentials
- You're a good teacher
