Be part of our mission to disrupt the healthcare and democratise the data driven medicine! SOPHiA is looking for a talented Commercial Finance Lead to join the Strategic Planning amp; Performance Management team.

The position could be located in our office in Bidart, France.

As a Strategic Finance Associate, you will be a key part of the Strategic Finance department at a fast-growing HealthTech company. In this fast-paced environment, you will have an opportunity to make a broad impact across multiple functions and levels across our organization and support the company’s long-term growth and continued execution by carrying out performance and commercial analytics, executing key Mamp;A transactions, and building and implementing long-term strategic plans. This will be a key role within the Strategic Finance team with the ability to work cross-functionally and use quantitative and qualitative insights to drive strategy across the whole organization.

Your will:

  • Support the company’s long-term business plan and growth as a core contributor to key company initiatives across commercial analytics, corporate development, and strategic planning;
  • Drive analyses for business leaders to support critical decisions about business strategy and operations;
  • Analyze data, both quantitative and qualitative, and propose creative, cross-departmental optimizations (outlining potential benefits and considerations);
  • Perform pricing, COGS, and performance analytics to identify and drive efficiencies and help management make well-informed strategic decisions;
  • Propose and create support for solutions to revamp and refine business lines and partnerships to optimize long-term business potential and scalability;
  • Develop financial models for strategic projects and acquisitions to evaluate the impact of initiatives and translate insights into memos and presentations for key stakeholders;
  • Conduct in-depth industry and company-specific research to identify and summarize benefits and considerations of potential acquisition targets;
  • Support the development of our long-term business plan and conduct comprehensive analyses of build, buy, or partner approaches for our strategic goals
  • Construct executive and Board level presentations to share key insights and recommendations with company leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant finance, modeling, and strategic planning experience preferably at a top-tier management consulting firm, investment bank, venture capital / private equity fund or fast-growing company;
  • Excellent financial analysis, statistics and modeling skills with outstanding proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Strategic mindset that is highly analytical and detail-oriented and brings a creative mentality to problem-solving;
  • Ability to distill massive amounts of complex information into digestible formats that lead to productive insights and discussions;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment;
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to articulate clearly to executives and key business leaders both internally and externally;
  • Ability to motivate teams and develop buy-in for new initiatives and adherence to overarching corporate goals and our culture of innovation and excellence;
  • Self-starter, low-ego mentality and a willingness to always go the extra mile;
