That means millions of everyday interactions now happen digitally without people ever meeting face-to-face. Our mission is to help more people access those services by building trust between businesses and their users.
Today, we work with global customers, including JustGiving, Revolut, BlaBlaCar and Couchsurfing to help them verify users, investors, drivers and guests across 195 countries. We’ve pioneered using deep learning to verify identity and reduce fraud, but we’re just getting started! Our goal is to apply cutting-edge research to build powerful, simple products that drive trust, inclusion and safety online.
You'll work on: - Data processing pipeline
- Data labelling workflows
- Training Deep Learning models
- Writing production grade code
- Deploying ML models to production
- Working with wandb
- Developing your presentation skills
As an intern, you will embed yourself in our research team, and help add awesome features to our robust and resilient background checking technology. Who you are:- You're currently enrolled in a PhD program/Msc in Computer Vision or Machine Learning
- You have experience in programming in Python and have exposure to NN Frameworks (TensorFlow / Theano / Torch)
- Bonus point if you have experience in face recognition/modeling, OCR
- You must be eligible to work in the UK or France/Germany/Portugal. We cannot sponsor visa for this internship.

Our engineers are flexible about technology and pick the right tool for the job:- Python, Ruby and Elixir for our service code.- React and Redux for frontend work.- TensorFlow for Machine Learning / Computer Vision.- Kubernetes and Docker to package and run services.- AWS for underlying infrastructure.
