Job Description

As Business Development Director France based in either Paris, you will be responsible for selling our unique solution to CEOs and Treasurers. With a strong entrepreneurial approach, you lead client acquisitions and negotiations and act as the overall business owner while working closely with our business development team to guide banks through the sales process. As our representative in the market, you are responsible to identify new sales targets, ensure customer satisfaction and increase market share within your region.

What will keep you challenged?

  • Driving projects with a client centered, sales approach to perform in a fast and efficient way as well as being able to build and maintain a strong relationship with our clients
  • Maintain close relationships with local market contacts to win market intelligence
  • Prospecting and identifying new leads and pitching to the banks with the focus on your region
  • Analyzing funding requirements of banks and provide input for the further strategic development of our platform
  • Building deep and active relationships with key decision makers of prospect and existing banks
  • Managing business impulses and sales approaches, including development of sales stories and product concepts in close cooperation with product management, funding strategy and sales
  • Managing, fostering and growing relationships between the banks and Deposit Solutions
  • Ensuring sales leads are adequately processed and supported

Communication skills are vital as collaboration with external and internal stakeholders around the world is a huge part of our day-to-day business. The ability to work highly structured and having a hands-on and can-do mentality while at the same time having a commercial and client orientated mindset are crucial for this position. In addition, striving for best-in-class in a result-focused manner, paying close attention to detail and handling several sales pipelines simultaneously are vital skills.

  • 7 to 10 years of professional experience in sales or distribution gained in the financial services market
  • Extensive knowledge of banking sector areas (debt capital markets, product management, investments, ALM etc.) and in-depth technical understanding of digital banking solutions
  • Strong and established banking network within France preferable to CEOs, CFOs and treasurers
  • Excellent networking skills, very high customer, market and sales orientation, strong negotiation and presentation skills, as well as many years of experience in managing complex projects
  • A self-starter with a willingness to prospect and develop new bank relationships and to grow with the role and continue to take on responsibilities
  • Proven results of delivering client solutions and meeting sales goals
  • Higher education in business, economics, computer science, engineering or any other relevant discipline
  • Full professional fluency in English and French with outstanding verbal and written skills; other European languages are advantageous
  • Adeptness in using Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and Salesforce
