As Akur8 is growing fast we are looking for an Office Manager to accompany and support our growth and make sure that everything is running smoothly in the office.

We are looking for someone who is proactive and empathetic, can demonstrate autonomy, take initiatives that are relevant to the company and generally multi-task in a fast paced environment!

In this role, you'll be responsible for (but not limited to):


  • Maintaining the overall office conditions and spot necessary adjustments, fixes, repairs, improvements
  • Optimizing the office layout and helping the management team find the right solutions as we scale
  • Managing the onboarding/offboarding process of Akur8’s team members (desk, access card, corporate goodies etc).
  • Making yourself available for the requests of team members regarding office conditions and prioritizing and managing them for potential action
  • Managing our facility management providers and services, including relationships with our building manager, management of the services that they are contractually required to provide (cleaning, maintenance, availability of common equipment, security aspects etc.)
  • Managing specific needs and situations, such as emergency actions in case of breakdown of office equipment, water leak, corporate event requiring catering etc.
  • Managing office mail and parcels (inbound and outbound)
  • Ensuring that office policies regarding the safety and security of the offices are respected (registering visitors, locking office doors etc.)
  • Managing the stock of office supplies and placing orders when necessary
  • Providing support to organize office events, whether on- or off-site
  • Proactively suggesting any relevant initiative that you think could improve the general quality of life at Akur8


Requirements

As a prerequisite, you have an employment status (French or Schengen area nationality or a ‘carte de séjour’) that enables you to work from our Paris office.

  • You have 1-3 years experience in a similar role
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills in both French AND English and are happy working in multicultural environments
  • You are very organised and a quick thinker. You can relevantly prioritize tasks of different nature and can efficiently multitask and deliver
  • You are empathetic, discreet and trustworthy: you will often be party of confidential information and need to treat it with maximum reliability
  • You are passionate and always want to go the extra mile
  • You are detail oriented, with high sense of ownership and a solid autonomy
  • You are flexible and adaptable. You are comfortable dealing with multiple and constantly new topics
  • You have the ability to be proactive and take relevant initiatives. You catch things on the fly and are able to jump on them without someone asking for it
  • You are generally committed to building things that last (which is part of Akur8’s value) and want to join a team that wants to build the best place to work for its members
