Sinch is looking to recruit a new Chief Accountant EMEA to its Finance Team to be based in Paris.

As our new Chief Accountant EMEA you will lead and be overall responsible for the accounting, reporting, tax, and compliance of several legal entities in Europe, the major one being France.

As our new Chief Accountant EMEA you will:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities and reviewing month- and year-end reporting
• Be accountable for the correctness and completeness of the accounting; legal and tax reporting; and fulfillment of all regulatory and internal requirements,
• Be responsible for coordinating the external audit of the legal entities
• Actively perform certain parts of the process, e.g., payment approval, or accounting postings (scope may differ per entity), reconciliations including intercompany
• Provide insights in performance gaps and areas for improvement
• Be responsible for preparation and submission of monthly/quarterly VAT returns and Social Charges reports
• Be responsible for preparation and submission of the annual report including minutes from annual general meeting and corporate income tax return
• Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles

The role is based in Paris, France and will report to the Head of Global Accounting.

In order to be successful in this role you have excellent analytical and financial skills with a passion for numbers and have the ability to work both high and low to achieve the desired results. You are driven, ambitious and take own initiatives as well as being well-organized. You are used to working closely and communicating effectively with stakeholders in a fast-paced international environment. As Sinch is growing rapidly you are flexible and enjoy working in a climate of change where being pragmatic and solutions orientated is key.

• 10 + years work experience as an Accounting Manager, Financial Controller or similar role
• Proven experience of creating annual reports
• Understanding of business bookkeeping and closing procedures, and knowledge of accounting regulations
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and ERP System
• Fluency in English and French in speech and writing

You’ll stand out in the crowd if you have:

• Experience of working in SAP
• Experience of working in fast paced international Group company
