As a global organizer of conferences and trade shows, Infopro Digital is now expanding into event management software (EMS) solutions that address the increased prevalence of virtual and hybrid event formats.

We are now looking for a high caliber product manager and commercialization leader to mobilize efforts across the group.

You will be looking for an exciting challenge and motivated by the opportunity to take a concept and develop it into a commercial success. You will be a natural leader, have strong commercial acumen and have direct experience working with SaaS marketing solutions. You will also have an entrepreneurial mind-set, a strong motivation to drive commercial results and an international outlook. You should be capable of managing multiple stakeholders and acting as an enabler within our environment. Moreover, you will have a good understanding of how virtual events solutions are evolving and their role in the multiple industry sectors.

The Role

Based in the UK or France, the EMS Commercialization and Launch Leader is responsible for ensuring Infopro Digital’s EMS SaaS solution sells successfully and globally.

Your objective is to launch a new software solution, which is still in development, and grow it to a multi-million-euro business. The core audience for this solution includes event organizers at Corporations, Large Retailers and Trade Associations who host virtual and hybrid events for lead generation, product demonstration and brand awareness purposes.

This is an evolving market and a competitive one as well, therefore you will need to be forward thinking and focused on evolving market demand. Your role will be the glue that connects product strategy to design, build and selling functions to drive sales and to achieve results.

Key Accountabilities

  • Set business strategy: Define Infopro Digital’s EMS strategy over the short, medium and long term in line with the company’s strategic and business goals; working closely with key stakeholders, you will determine which features, functionality and packaging will best serve our evolving customer base.
  • Market intelligencebe the expert on our buyers, who are they, how they buy and their key buying criteria as well as on our competition and how they are positioned.
  • Collaborate with product management and marketing to develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with our target buyer personas.
  • Understand and document our buyer’s process, including where they get information, and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make; then, design and implement sales and marketing processes based on what you learn.
  • Plan the launch of the Infopro Digital’s EMS as well as ongoing releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
  • Develop a marketing plan for Infopro Digital’s EMS in conjunction with our marketing team, including key activities and budgets to support the acquisition and retention of a brand-new customer base.
  • Assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support Infopro Digital’s EMS on an ongoing basis and implement changes where required.
  • Act as the primary thought leader for Infopro Digital’s EMS externally, including speaking engagements and written works.
  • Understand and support our sales channels; train them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users; develop internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use it.
  • Diversify and scale the business: Identify potential integration and synergy opportunities with Infopro Digital’s related brands; establish metrics and KPIs to drive and maintain efficiencies within the team; Partner with sales leadership to set sales targets and ensure teams are resourced sufficiently to achieve them. After launch, part of your performance metrics eventually will be tied to annual sales achievement.
  • Provide leadership for a global team: Provide hands-on, day-to-day management including hiring, mentoring and retention for the EMS product management team.
