Job Description

Our expansion team is fast, efficient and very hands-on. Within your SWAT teams, you will need to manage and execute in a timely-manner. You will cover a variety of topics from real estate acquisition to engaging local partnerships, following our Launch Playbook to the letter. Our expansion team enables speed and efficiency allowing the Gorillas mission to spread across the globe.

Requirements

Be the project owner for the new location fit-out. You will tender contracts, review schedules of works, manage project costs and timelines and work with main contractors to ensure project delivery is successful and in line with the business schedule

Responsible for projects and budgets ranging from 20,000-100,000 and overseeing several projects at any one given time depending on the size of the project

Negotiate with and hire subcontractors, such as architects, plumbers, electricians, welders, and other specialized construction professionals

Overseeing material and labor costs as well as procurement, construction permit acquisition, and code compliance.

Execute all tasks necessary to ensure a location is ready to be fully operated on launch day

Ensure a smooth handover of facilities and infrastructure to the Retail Operations Team and remain a point of contact and support function post launch for Facilities Management

Fully responsible for the success and timeliness of the launch of your location

Help define and optimise the processes of a launch and location fit-out

Work together with the central expansion team to analyze and define the project scope

Be on site for the first days after launch to ensure that any snags and issues are closed out

Communicate with many different external stakeholders and across many different internal departments e.g. suppliers, warehouse staff, partners, commercial teams and Operations


Requirements

Experience related to construction project management. You understand the basic principles to Mamp;E

Excellent time and task management skills

Confident to manage contractors and supplier partners

Work closely with our warehouse managers amp; supervisor

Make sure our operations are cutting edge and ready to scale with you to other districts, cities, countries

Gained first experience in a fast-paced environment (consulting, startup, VC, etc.)

See yourself as an entrepreneur and you are eager to take the next steps - launching a new Gorillas location is almost like launching your own startup

Willing to make Gorillas your mission and are ready to put a lot of hard work into making this business a success

Love traveling and your flexible when it comes to your working location

Have a hands-on mentality and are willing to get your hands dirty

Very good communication skills and are proficient in both written and spoken English
