ROLE
We’re looking for a Software Engineer Intern (for an internship of 6 months starting in March / April 2021) that has a strong interest in cloud-computing and AI to help build our complex data-processing solution.
You'll join a motivated team, willing to share their knowledge and passion for advanced computer science and software development, where your typical missions will be:
- Building new screens and features for our world-leading software.
- To help optimize the run-time of machine learning models that call databases with dozens of millions of records.
- To maintain existing web APIs and build new ones.
- Collaborating with our internal Data Science amp; UX teams.
- To bring innovative ideas to improve our platform, the quality of our cloud computing and development processes.
- To be fully involved in the heart of our platform, learning every day and seeing the impact of your work in production.
- Working with people with different sets of skills in a fast growing environment.
Technical stack: Java 11 / Spring, Angular 10, TypeScript, NgRx, REST APIs, AWS, Terraform, Python, GitHub
Requirements
We're looking for innovative and rigorous minds that wish to be core contributors to our platform, possessing the following attributes:
- IMPORTANT/ELIMINATORY: You are currently studying for your final year of a Masters Degree (Bac+5) in Computer Science and are looking for a 6 month 'stage de fin d'etudes' starting in March or April
- IMPORTANT/ELIMINATORY: As we like to offer CDI's to our interns upon completion of their internship, you are required to have a working / visa status that will allow you to accept a CDI in our Paris office immediately after your internship (i.e. unfortunately this means no applicants studying in France on a student visa can be considered at this moment in time)
- A good knowledge of object-oriented programming(particularly Java)
- A first experience (project or internship) in developing web applications
- You understand the value of good quality code and best practices
- A fluent level of spoken English
In addition, the following skills would be a definite advantage:
- A good knowledge of Java and/or Angular 2+
- You have a good vision on both backend and infrastructure challenges
- Any experience with AWS, Docker or Terraform, is even better!
