About the Gorillas Rider Ops team
At Gorillas, we enable customers all over Europe to experience a radically different way of grocery shopping. As a member of the Rider Ops Planning and Performance team you will help us to unlock our key value proposition of a 10 minute delivery. We work along side our rider crew to make sure they are set up to succeed and are preform their best. We run a highly complex technological operation across clients, platforms and countries. You will be among the first ones to join and therefore be able to shape our teams roadmap as well as our culture. About this position
We are looking for a business-savvy analyst to help us unlock the true potential of our second most important asset after our people: Our data! You will use your analytical mind to push all aspects of the business forward, glean insights from our data sources and drive performance. The role sits within the Business Intelligence amp; operations teams and will involve working closely with our data scientist as well as all other operational departments to define their needs and translate them into actionable insights and reports.
Your responsibilities
- Identify the most impactful ways to use data and analytics to drive insights, make decision making and improve our rider performance
- Ensuring all stakeholders within the team and business have access to relevant reporting in clear dashboards using a variety of tools
- Presenting analytical findings to senior stakeholders
- Be the point of contact between operations and data scientists to organise and streamline requests
- Applying your expertise to design and implement new metrics across the business
- Perform deep-dive analysis on our rider performance to solve critical business problems and improve our processes
Requirements
What you need to be successful
Background
- 1-2 years of experience in business intelligence, business analytics, data engineering or similar roles
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple responsibilities and projects
- Experience acquiring data from various sources (APIs, data warehouses, scraping)
- Experience dissecting complex, quantitative business problems and delivering actionable solutions
- Experience communicating and presenting information to a range of stakeholders
Skills
- Excellent ability to construct dashboards and derive insights from large data-sets using various tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker)
- Experience with big data tools, data warehousing concepts and ETL pipelines (a plus)
- Experience writing complex SQL queries
- Experience writing code in Python / R
- Fluent in French and in English
