We seek an outstanding candidate to join the EMEA Subscriptions team, leading our growth efforts in FR + BeNELUX. Think of this role as a mix of growth hacker / business strategist/ marketer. This is an individual contributor role, reflecting Spotify’s flat structure. You’ll work with many teams from around the company and influence their work.
While the main focus will be France, there will also be some BENELUX assignments. The role is based in Paris where the majority of the FR BeNELUX local team sits. The role reports to the London-based Subscriptions EU regional lead.What You'll Do:
  • Your mission will be to develop the strategy and action plan for driving paid user and revenue growth (Spotify Premium) in FR + BeNELUX.
  • You are responsible for understanding customer, industry, and competitor trends/behaviors in the region (macro, external, internal). Based on that, you will identify subscriber growth opportunities. You will also work with the local team to set the overall market strategy.
  • You will optimize subscriber growth along the whole conversion funnel from marketing to payment, onboarding, migration and retention. You work with global internal teams and selected external partners and agencies to drive those initiatives.
  • Additionally, you will lead marketing campaigns to drive subscriber and revenue growth across the Spotify Premium portfolio: you will own and execute these campaigns in our owned channels campaigns and work together with our Brand Marketing and Performance Marketing teams when it comes to earned and paid media. This process spans from brainstorming to planning, briefing, asset creation, asset trafficking throughout owned channels (email, in-app notifications, etc.), A/B testing, campaign measurement, and overall project management.
  • You will work closely with the Paris and Amsterdam teams, esp. Brand marketing, Music amp; Podcasts team, and Business Development to identify growth opportunities.
  • While France will be your focus market, you will also work on BENELUX and even global projects depending on the overall project calendar and scope.
Who You Are
  • You have 8+ years of working experience within an online consumer business, ideally in a relevant industry (entertainment, tech, start-ups)
  • You have experience setting up strategy and action plans with strong measurement frameworks.
  • You have a proven track record of leading and executing growth projects independently and getting things done in a cross-functional organization. You will not always have direct control of all the resources, but you still get the job done.
  • Excellent knowledge and insights into the French consumer market and media landscape is a requirement
  • You have worked on online marketing campaigns and CRM before.
  • You are very comfortable using various tools to analyze, test, and execute online marketing activities (e.g. Google Analytics, email management/CRM, SQL).
  • You are comfortable with rolling up your sleeves and executing things yourself no matter if it's programming an email, pulling some queries or quickly adjusting an image in Photoshop. We're looking for self-starters who want to get things done.
  • You speak French and English fluently. Dutch is a plus.
  • You are comfortable working remotely from other team members, but even so, manage to stay in sync and influence internal partners by being an excellent communicator.
