We are currently recruiting for a Regional Automotive Buyer based in Bordeaux, directly reporting to our Central Ops Team.

The Regional Automotive Buyer position is a very exciting, autonomous and impactful role within Spotawheel, with a direct path to Regional and HQ Management functions.

As a Regional Automotive Buyer, you will be responsible for the end to end process of negotiating, evaluating, acquiring and shipping the proper mix of second hand cars to cover our cross-country inventory needs. Working directly with private owners as well as local B2B networks, you will be in control of both the profitability and the quality of vehicles purchased, being in close coordination with the Central Ops Team while utilizing our proprietary tech tools.

Your Key Responsibilities will be to:

  • Buy used-car inventory mastering our consumer and business purchasing process
  • Set and negotiate pricing per car, accurately estimating reconditioning costs
  • Set up and manage the full purchasing-to-export process
  • Build solid business relationships with key business customers (suppliers, wholesalers, retailers) and the local automotive ecosystem
  • Negotiate and structure terms of supplier agreements
  • Ensure the timely delivery of cars and compliance with the contracts of purchase
  • Create reports on purchases conversions vs budget, adjusting to strategies accordingly
  • Shape our regional purchasing strategy along with Central Ops team
  • Represent the company both internally and externally
  • Be an ambassador of the company’s culture, spirit and values

Requirements

  • Excellent command of the English language (both written and oral)
  • Proven experience as a Buyer or relevant role in the Automotive industry
  • Good understanding of the regional automotive market and networks
  • Strong in building relationships with suppliers and customers
  • Solid analytical and valuation skills, with a strong process orientation
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently at speed, navigating through complex situations
  • Proven knowledge of MS Office and Excel in particular
