We are vertically integrated: we operate our own local dark stores and employ our riders. This allows us to be close to customers, control the full consumer experience, and offer them a super slick overall experience. We are looking for an experienced supply chain manager to ensure our supply chain and logistics operations function properly. In this role, you’ll collaborate with other departments, such as Operations and Finance, to create effective business plans, so teamwork skills are important. You should also have experience in project management, as well as great leadership and communication ability. If you meet these criteria and also possess a strategic, analytical mind, we’d like to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine scalable processes that work for the whole network
- Identify opportunities to improve our dark store set ups to make us faster and more accurate
- Own best practices on warehouse fit out and design
- Drive simplification, making complex processes accessible and easy to implement
- Manage internal stakeholders to ensure strong collaboration across departments
- Analyse data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues
- Evaluate and report on KPIs
- Monitor logistics to make sure they run smoothly
- Train and guide employees
- Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes
- Resolve issues that come up (e.g. delays in delivery, accidents)
- Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in an operational role in a fast paced environment
- Creative thinking and innovative nature - we’re launching a new business model that requires us to think out of the box
- Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable in highly ambiguous environment and able to independently take responsibility from day one with ability to work with little direction
- Highly analytical, able to use data to make smart decisions
- Effective communicator - able to disseminate ideas in a clear, concise manner to the relevant stakeholders through both verbal and written communication
