Singulier is looking for an experienced fractional IT manager to lead our internal IT function. Must be fluent in English and French.

Location: Paris preferred; could potentially be in London. This role requires hand-on support and thus is expected to work in the office at least 90% of working time.

Our diverse team of approximately 80 professionals based in London, Paris amp; Munich is divided into two groups: technical experts (including Media and Marketing, Product amp; Tech, Customer Strategy, and Data Transformation), and digital strategy consultants. Founded in 2017, we have grown rapidly and are currently expanding to Germany.

What You’ll Do 

This role will lead our internal IT function. This includes both day-to-day IT support, as well as putting in place the systems and processes to enable the company to grow. This role reports to the Group COO and will work hand in hand with all the Singulier teams based in Paris and London.

Key Responsibilities 

IT Infrastructure Management

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, servers, and security systems.
  • Ensure all systems are up-to-date, secure, and compliant with industry standards and regulations.

Day-to-day user support

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all IT support requests and technical issues, resolving them promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions. Maintain a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential IT issues before they escalate.
  • Manage our internal remote monitoring tool and define thresholds for proactive user outreach
  • Ensure all users have the correct access and are properly onboarded / offboarded
  • As needed, provide communication amp; training of employees on the entire IT asset (security, tools, processes, equipment)

Hardware amp; Infrastructure Management across multiple geographical areas (currently Paris and London)

  • Create and maintain hardware inventory and management processes
  • Develop and implement procurement policies and approach
  • Regularly track hardware performance and monitoring and proactively resolve issues

Digital Workplace, Budget and Vendor Management

  • Define and manage annual IT budget (in connection with Finance and COO)
  • Directly manage group-level digital workplace tools (e.g. Google, Microsoft, Slack, etc)
  • Regularly monitor usage of software (both digital workplace and department-owned tools) and proactively adjust contracts to manage costs where applicable
  • Define and regularly review the IT supplier repository (Infrastructures and software)
  • Manage supplier relations and negotiations
  • Order and receive materials as needed
  • Ensure service level agreements and costs are optimized

Overall security at all sites

  • Implement and enforce data security protocols to safeguard sensitive information and mitigate cybersecurity risks.
  • Develop and maintain data backup and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or data breaches
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with GDPR (with external support as needed)

IT Strategy and Innovation

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the company's objectives and growth plans.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry, recommending innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Manage strategic IT projects as needed
