Requirements

To help us support and structure Akur8’s rapid growth, we are looking for a General Accounting Manager to join our Finance team.

In this role, you will be reporting to the CFO and overseeing the activity of one General Accountant, whilst working closely with the rest of the team (finance, admin and legal). You will be responsible for (but not limited to):

Reporting / Accounting :

  • Monthly reporting (Profit and Loss and Cash flow) accuracy and timeliness
  • Balance sheet analysis
  • Establishment of legal documents as part of the annual closing process

AR / AP:

  • Contract analysis and setup in the invoicing / Revenue Recognition Saas tool (Maxio)
  • Order to cash process, from PO tracking to invoicing to cash collection
  • Approve the invoices AP and Improve AR Cash collection.
  • Preparation of intercompany operations (intercompany invoices / interest calculations).
  • Continuous improvement of existing processes

Tax:

Ensure tax filing and registrations in France and abroad (VAT, Sales tax, tax return) with the local providers.

Projects amp; audit :

  • Manage the annual financial external audit
  • Contribute to the finance team projects (evolution of tooling stack and processes) and other potential ad hoc projects



We're looking for a rigorous and innovative mindset, and:

  • Qualification specialized in accounting (DCG, DSCG)
  • You have at least 5 years of experience, and a previous experience in a Big 4 is a plus
  • You have strong Excel skills
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills in French
  • You have a good written English and are happy working in a multicultural environment
  • You are very organized, thorough and a quick thinker
  • You are empathetic, discreet and trustworthy: you will often be part of confidential information and need to treat it with maximum reliability
  • You are detail oriented, with a high sense of ownership and a solid autonomy
  • You are flexible and adaptable. You are comfortable dealing with multiple and constantly new topics.

Important: You must possess an employment status: French or Schengen area nationality or a ‘carte de séjour’ that will allow you to work from our Paris office.
