Job Description

We're looking for an experienced event and community manager to join our marketing team to foster a strong and engaged community. If our mission is aligned with your values and personal goals, we want to get to know you!

Your responsibilities

  • Coordinate creative and interesting events that engage our community in building climate consciousness with meaningful content
  • Plan both digital and physical events from start to finish ensuring it is aligned to company’s overall marketing strategy, company values, and attracts target audience
  • Liaison with internal stakeholders and external vendors and suppliers to prepare event
  • Coordinate logistics including venue selection, catering, transportation, and audio-visual equipment.
  • Prepare budgets, timeline, and ensure adherence to project plan
  • Lead promotional activities for the event including utilising digital marketing channels to reach target audiences and maximise event attendance.
  • Coordinate vendor activities to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Analyse the event’s success and prepare reports and insights to events performance
  • Conduct research and analysis to understand the needs, interests, and concerns of the Plan A community.
  • Gather feedback through surveys, focus groups, and community meetings to inform engagement strategies.
  • Build a community of sustainability leaders and moderate forums, create content, and disseminate information to promote engagement opportunities

Requirements

  • You have prior experience in events and community management, preferably B2B
  • You are genuinely committed to educating businesses on climate change and decarbonisation.
  • You are a people person and are able to build rapport with others easily.
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and can build relationships with and influence stakeholders
  • You have project management skills and are able to handle multiple responsibilities in a dynamic, evolving environment
  • You have excellent written amp; verbal communication skills and can generate impactful content.
  • You are organised and able to juggle multiple priorities and deliverables
  • You have a solution-oriented approach and are able to think on your feet
  • You are meticulous in your writing and are great at copyediting
  • You are fluent in English

What makes your stand out

  • If you speak French and/or German, that is a huge plus!
  • You have creative design skills and are able to use Figma or other design software to create compelling branding and artwork for events is also a major plus
