Job Description

Valneva is a specialty vaccine company that develops, manufactures, and commercializes prophylactic vaccines for infectious diseases addressing unmet medical needs. Our focused pipeline includes the world’s first vaccine against the chikungunya virus, the only Lyme disease vaccine candidate in advanced clinical development, which is partnered with Pfizer, as well as vaccine candidates against the Zika virus and other global public health threats.

We are currently looking for a talented Senior Brand Manager to join our French team.

The Senior Brand Manager will be responsible for all marketing related activities associated with the expected launch of our Chikungunya vaccine in France amp; Benelux

Primary responsibilities will be to design brand strategies for current amp; future product portfolio with a primary objective to ensure success of our Chikungunya vaccine, track tactical plans that will ultimately impact positively on sales within existing and new customer segments. This position works in very close collaboration with Marketing Coordinator, in charge of omnichannel activities and marketing operational support of Valneva France amp; Benelux.

The incumbent will be reporting to the VP, General Manager France amp; Benelux, Commercial Operations

Responsilbilities

  • Lead marketing efforts of Valneva France amp; Benelux in the perspective of Chikungunya vaccine launch end 2024: land brand strategies for current amp; future products, develop and monitor roll-out of tactical plans designed to increase sales and penetration rates of our product portfolio
  • Ensure launch readiness of our Chikungunya vaccine in France and Benelux withing existing amp; future customer segments, this involves interfacing with Global Brand Lead Chik as well as close coordination with Medical country teams, marketing coordination, sales and head pharmacists to ensure successful product launch
  • Responsible for Brand planning process, in collaboration with Global marketing team, for both France amp; Benelux, in close coordination with marketing coordinator in charge of omnichannel strategy amp; deployment
  • Ability to identify amp; consolidate customer insights in order to steer marketing strategy, which includes dedicating time with field-based teams and interacting with external stakeholders
  • Be the face and voice of France amp; Benelux towards global Marketing teams by sharing best practices, customer insights, contribute to global campaigns and marketing assets by bringing country perspective
  • Lead any activity related to market study by coordinating country roll out of global market studies and driving country-specific market studies
  • Roll-out tactical plans in line with brand and / or product strategies and against pre-defined KPIs in close coordination with marketing coordinator for France amp; Benelux
  • Explore and drive opportunities to increase sales revenues and penetration rates within new customers / segments and compile amp; present proposals
  • Track and analyse all available data and information to use and / or provide clear and actionable insights
  • Provide analysis and / or specific Business Development projects whenever needed
  • Ability to partner with external stakeholders in order to maximize our reach in France amp; Benelux
  • Responsible for creation, roll-out and withdrawal of promotional or/and educational materials. For example, but non exhaustive: liaise with creative agency and medical reviewing agency, upload and oversee certification of jobs in Veeva Vault, provide briefing documents to sales team, this musts be done in close coordination with medical department and head pharmacist to comply with French specific regulation.
  • Work collaboratively with all cross-functional team members, in particular: sales, business operations, customer marketing, medical affairs, head pharmacists
  • Drive budget construction and monitor spend vs allocated budget on regular basis, in close coordination with Finance

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in commercial operations within French market
  • Experience of successful launch in vaccines and roll-out of global marketing campaign at local level
  • Double degree Pharma or MD and/or Business School
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, able to navigate in a very dynamic environment
  • Autonomous in his/her role
  • Work collaboratively with others and being part of a small structure
  • Contribute positively to a team environment
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and curious
  • Project management skills, ability to organise and execute a project across the board
