Job Description

The role of a Senior Manager - Crisis and Resilience Consulting is that of a fee-earning consultant who will be expected to market, sell and deliver end-to-end business continuity, crisis management, enterprise risk management and emergency response and related resilience and security consulting engagements.

As our Senior Manager in Paris, you'll work as part of a team, solving complex resilience issues from strategy to execution - tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with your team and management to develop and grow Control Risks in Western Europe to achieve growth and deliver services that meet or exceed client's expectation.
  • Ensure overall oversight and drive the performance of the Western Europe Crisis and Security Consulting team, enable people to realise their potential and support their development.
  • End-to-end project management of client engagements, including being the primary contact to the client and managing the delivery teams.
  • Identify opportunities in the Western European resilience market and spot opportunities to create growth opportunities.
  • Create an environment where people and technology thrive together to accomplish more than they could apart.
  • Influence and facilitate the creation of long-term relationships and networks which add value to Control Risks.
  • Author thought leadership / white papers on topics that are relevant to our clients’ issues and business strategy
  • Embody a thought leader who can adopt innovative approaches to develop current and new solutions.
  • Promote and encourage others to value difference when working in diverse teams.
  • Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

  • Supporting clients actively with the design, implementation and development of creative solutions to improve their security, business continuity or crisis management systems - tailored to their organizational setup and in line with the relevant industry standards.
  • Implementing and overseeing the quality of deliverables, effectively managing project delivery teams and project financials to ensure exceptional internal and external performance.
  • Developing and leading a high performing team to create a team culture of trust, collaboration, and creativity.
  • Working independently in building up a professional network, doing business development, speaking at seminars/workshops, seeking and closing new deals.
  • Managing, leading and closing international proposals and bids, including project scoping, pricing, budget monitoring, planning, and reporting
  • Leading the engagement economics as part of consulting projects, including commercial negotiations, contract evaluations, and procurement process management.

Expected qualifications and specialist skills:

  • Significant experience in security risk consulting, enterprise risk management, business continuity, emergency response and crisis management
  • Excellent client relationship skills with a track record of sales and engagement delivery success in a high-performing management consulting environment
  • Advanced degree in risk management or security related field
  • Project management skills within a commercial/consulting environment
  • Able to deliver input to finance, reporting and forecasting systems
  • Strong commercial focus (financial management skills, legal and contractual skills) and leadership
  • Effective decision making amp; judgment
  • People leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and drive the performance of a team of security and risk professionals
  • Strong interpersonal skills building trust amp; rapport
  • Excellent communication skills written amp; oral (from informal to presentation at board level)
  • Full professional proficiency in French and English is a must, preferably another European language like Spanish, Italian, Dutch or German.
