Job Description

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for an IT Project Manager to join our UniQue team.

What will you be bringing to the team?

  • Be responsible for the delivery of the software projects according to the project objectives (quality, cost, time, scope, risk, benefits)
  • Lead the project delivery, and effectively coordinate the project teams towards the delivery goals
  • Present ideas, concepts, and alternative solutions generating added value to the project and the business in general
  • Perform detailed project amp; quality planning based on best practices (e.g. PRINCE2)
  • Facilitate workshops and participate in selected analysis amp; architecture meetings
  • Participate in functional working groups and progress meetings
  • Monitor costs, timescales, and resources used, and take action where these deviate from agreed tolerances. Ensure that delivered systems are implemented within these criteria
  • Manage change in the scope and technology landscape of the project, facilitating agreement for revisions to the project between project stakeholders
  • Ensure that the project's deliverables meet quality standards and project requirements
  • Communicate effectively with all the project stakeholders during the lifecycle of the project
  • Work in close cooperation with the development teams in order to perform planned activities
  • Take overall responsibility for all the risks and resolve any issues ensuring the project's successful outcome
  • Report on the project performance to selected internal and external stakeholders
  • Establish strong and trusted relationships with the customers
  • Work closely with the project support officers during the delivery of the project

Requirements

What do you need to succeed in this position?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology
  • A minimum of 6 years experience in the range of the aforementioned responsibilities
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2, PMI, PM2)
  • Strong technical background in software engineering, with a solid understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and technologies
  • Practical knowledge of the Change Management process
  • Strong experience in managing complex software projects
  • Effective leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • High analytical skills, ability to understand the project scope and to communicate with the various project roles (e.g. analysts, developers, designers, architects, etc.)
  • Ability to command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project teams
  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, presentation
  • Relevant knowledge of ITIL v3, COBIT, and CMMI is highly desirable
  • Ability to analyze complex information and generate reports
  • Ability to interface effectively with users, and technical staff and to give presentations to senior management
  • Organized, methodical, team player, and able to prioritize and delegate workload
  • Excellent use of the English language (verbal amp; written)
