In this role you will be representing your country and working alongside a highly committed team who want to make a difference to New Zealand. What you’ll be doing - TewhakamahereThe Trade Commissioner role in Paris is a great opportunity to bring your leadership, international and commercial experience to deliver outcomes for New Zealand companies across France, Belgium and the Netherlands.With an NZ/EU FTA agreed it is an exciting time to be supporting New Zealand business in the region. You will lead an experienced team of five business development managers, and an office manager, across Paris and Amsterdam, whose networks and knowledge are vital to achieving good outcomes for New Zealand businesses. You will represent NZTE at key business and official events, and you will play an important role in implementing NZTE's strategic priorities. You will work with a team of customer directors and managers based in New Zealand to share the market opportunities in a fast-growing region. For more information on this role please view the Position Description.What you’ll need to be successful OPukenga- Commercially robust experience in business development, marketing, sales or strategy.- International exposure, ideally understanding the European commercial environment including the impact of e-commerce and other trends.- Exceptional communicator ability to communicate with confidence and credibility, build strong relationships and have great influencing skills.- Strong leadership ability a track record in empowering a team and developing capability.- Strong operational and organisation skills.- We will provide french language training, however we do require someone with a conversational level of French language speaking ability within a business context.
