You are passionate about advising on legal issues regarding a healthcare data-driven company. You are comfortable in being involved in commercial activities, business development and biopharma collaborations, clinical trials, Ramp;D, intellectual property, data protection and privacy (GDPR) matters.

You graduated in a Master 2 Degree with more than 4 years’ experience as associate in private practice or in-house legal counsel. You are fluent in English. Proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese or German is a plus.

Your mission:

The Senior Legal Counsel manage of the legal aspects of various commercial, matters, including drafting and reviewing of documents and contracts, advising on civil law, and providing legal advice in the handling of disputes.

He/She evaluate the terms and conditions of a variety of contracts, assess the legal risks regarding business activities, provide legal advice and manage legal input in cross-functional projects of matters related to intellectual property, commercial contracting, biopharma and business development collaborations, employment, data protection and privacy, international distribution, and clinical trials.

He/She participate in strategic risk analysis that may have legal implications for the organization, contribute to the development of legal processes and standards for legal documentation and activities within the company.

• The ability to quickly comprehend complex sets of international and domestic laws and regulations and interpret those laws within the context of SOPHiA GENETICS’ operations and expansion.
• Ability to resolve problems quickly and efficiently and capacity to prioritize and perform under pressure.

The experience you bring.

• Contract Management:

• Drafting and review of different types of contracts;
• Negotiation of contracts with third parties;
• Alignment of contracts with external and internal guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Provide legal support related to public tenders;

• Provide legal support in commercial, biopharma, business development and financial transactions and projects and provide advice on dispute resolution.
• Contribution to the development of legal processes and standards for legal documentation within the company.
