About the role

Join our team of 125 dedicated Ramp;D professionals at SKEEPERS, a SaaS company where innovation is the key to our success. Your contributions will directly influence our end-users and your enthusiasm for challenges will propel our group forward.

Within the "Insights Collection amp; Activation" vertical, you will play a crucial role by applying your experience and methods to strengthen a team of more than 60 developers and experts

As an Engineering Manager, your contributions and coaching will be crucial for the team's success and the enhancement of their skills. On a daily basis, you will lead an empowered squad, working closely with the Product Manager and UX Designer, and taking charge of critical technical decisions.

Responsibilities:

As a direct report to the VP Engineering and with strong support from the CTO, you will assume a key role in managing the "Insights Collection amp; Activation" roadmap and its technical teams. Your key responsibilities encompass:

Solution Roadmap (Product amp; technical):

  • Work closely with the Product Team (Product Manager amp; Product Designer) to build solutions customers love
  • Build an architecture vision for complex projects. Break them down into milestones to make them more manageable as a team and consistent with the vision and business issues

Deploy and ensure engineering best practice:

  • Lead and inspire a team of talented developers (Tech lead, Back, Front amp; Fullstack Developer)
  • Evangelize best software development practices (DDD, TDD, CICD) with the squad
  • Perform code reviews and design reviews to ensure compliance with development standards
  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing best practices and habits
  • Keep informed of any useful new features (lib, pattern...) to achieve the objective of a reliable, maintainable and performing code

Team management:

  • Manage your team (career interview, training, performance, )
  • Partner with HRBP team to attract and retain high quality and diverse talent
  • Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship on a regular basis

Delivery management:

  • Collaborate with team members to develop high-traffic low-latency applications while delivering high-availability and performance
  • Build, optimize, and scale the microservice platform
  • Draft and review architectural diagrams, interface specifications, class structures, and other design documents
  • Ensure operational excellence (velocity, code quality, )

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in software and web development
  • 2 years of experience in management or leadership of a software engineering team in Agile methodology
  • Demonstrated project management and delivery experience
  • Work as a leader, you have a strong sense of commitment to projects and team responsibilities
  • Strong experience in training and coaching junior developers
  • Strong leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • You can communicate effectively with other team members and stakeholders to explain and advocate your choices.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under strict deadlines
  • Good organization and communication skills
  • Fluent in English
