Story so far

Since Sir Jim Ratcliffe announced Project Grenadier in 2017, our team at INEOS Automotive has grown rapidly. From a start-up to the scaled business we are now, we’ve hit some huge milestones along the way. Despite some global challenges, we brought our first vehicle, the INEOS Grenadier, from a vision to prototype and to market in just five years. And now, as the first customer deliveries of our INEOS Grenadier have begun, we look to the future with our first all-electric vehicle.

The Head of HR will join a unique company which ignites the next stage of making history. Developing the INEOS Grenadier in record breaking time, its now to make the next step in production and manufacturing.

You will take over a key role. Put your stamp on it.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • This is the Number one HR role at our Hambach vehicle manufacturing facility, leading a team of 15 HR and Payroll professionals. You will play a critical role in the HR development of the plant and the integration of the manufacturing site into the wider international HR organization of the group.
  • The Head of HR has a general responsibility of the strategies, policies and practices established by the company regarding labour relations, safety and health, communication, implication and motivation of the people and all of this, based on the good practices, the ethics, the equity in order to guarantee the highest standard of quality and excellence in the service, which helps to generate value for the employee and for the shareholder as well as the competitiveness of our company.
  • The role will act as a leading interface and negotiator between stakeholders (e.g. works council, unions, HR committees) and the management to secure the production plans.
  • All human resources activities at the plant, complying with legal, collective bargaining and Group regulations and agreements are parts of the responsibilities.
  • You will lead and guide the HR Team to setup agile and up-to-date HR processes, structures and workflows (e.g. digitalization) with you experiences and knowledge.
  • We believe recruitment of motivated, experienced workforce on all levels (blue/white collar) will effort disruptive and visible employee market approaches.
  • With your team you will develop these approaches.

What we are looking for:

  • Level of education amp; Experience in general:
  • Ideally Master’s degree or equivalent in Law (esp. Labour regulations) or Human Resources or Psychology or Business administration or similar
  • Several years (min. 10y) of in-depth in HR ideally within manufacturing - ideally Automotive Cars production
  • Deep expertise in all HR generalist areas (all topics from recruitment to salary management etc.)
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Labour regulations management, coordination, and negotiation
  • Leadership and intercultural team management exp. at least min. 10 years
  • Level expert of operational excellence methods and processes
  • Language’s business fluent French and English. A additional Company Business spoken languages is a plus.

Technical skills:

  • Business management acumen esp. controlling, business intelligence, cost optimisation
  • Working knowledge of payroll systems and process, and good practice in developing, implementing and improvement in all HR transactional activities.
