Context

Cybelangel's Product Design Team, part of the larger Product Team, is expanding.

Julie and Carine, our Senior Product Designers, have deep expertise from Product Discovery to crafting user-friendly UIs. They also have a solid background in User Research and UX.

We plan for big changes in our product and we’ll revamp the user experience to better meet customer needs.

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer with a strong experience in UI Design and Visual design as well as UX Design, with the ability to work in duo with a PM on Product Discovery.

Your responsibilities

You will be responsible for all aspects of user experience across all our applications: customer portal, backoffice and APIs. Our apps are used daily by cybersecurity analysts from our clients all over the world. They are relying on our product to analyze thousands of potential security incidents. Design is key to help them assess the severity of a threat and save time when managing thousands of alerts every day.

You agree that Product Design function should :

  • Participate in all phases from discovery to delivery to iterations rather than building a design after PM specifications
  • Constantly test their ideas with real users
  • Be measured on the success of the product rather than quality of design

Product Design Team :

  • Currently 2 Product Designers and 6 Product Managers
  • Our Design stack : Figma, Figjam, ProductBoard, Amplitude, Confluence

Your tasks

  • Partner with a Product Manager amp; the engineering team for one of our teams, lead by a product goal
  • Conduct product discovery amp; user research to guide product amp; design decisions by factual user feedback, and increase our user knowledge
  • Facilitate ideation workshops with cybersecurity experts, product amp; engineering teams
  • Produce prototypes to explore and test hypotheses and iterate on them
  • Define flows, information architecture and meaningful user interface
  • Deliver UI design with an attention to component consistency
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Design System to ensure design consistency across the product.
  • Create and update UI style guides, design patterns, and component libraries to facilitate efficient design and development.
  • Collaborate with developers during the whole product lifecycle (technical issues, anticipation, handoff, iteration)

Requirements

Your preferred experience

  • 5 to 7 years of experience building and shipping world-class products across various platforms
  • Strong UI skills mixed with UX Design knowledge and experience
  • Collaborative approach and belief that the best products are built through a partnership with Product, Design, and Engineering
  • Great communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate your design decisions and how they relate to the problem you’re solving
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience applying user research methodologies and product data/analytics to inform design decision
  • Experience with SaaS, B2B or other complex technical systems (APIs, Machine learning, heavy data products)
  • Fluent both in english and french
