The HR Specialist in Culture, Diversity, and Inclusion (CDI) is instrumental in fostering a company culture where every employee feels valued, understood, and empowered. This role oversees initiatives aimed at promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization, while also helping to shape a culture that aligns with the company's values and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development and Implementation:
- Develop, lead, and implement effective CDI strategies and programs aligned with the company's business objectives.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of CDI initiatives, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Training and Development:
- Design, coordinate, and deliver training sessions that foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for diversity and inclusion.
- Collaborate with HR and Learning amp; Development teams to embed CDI principles into general training and onboarding programs.
- Engagement and Collaboration:
- Serve as a liaison and advisor to internal affinity or employee resource groups.
- Collaborate with HR and management to ensure hiring, promotion, and performance management practices are unbiased and inclusive.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Gather and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of CDI initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
- Present insights and metrics to HR leadership and company executives, providing recommendations based on findings.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including senior management, employees, external partners, and community groups about CDI initiatives.
- Advocate for, and ensure understanding of, the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all company activities and decisions.
- External Networking:
- Stay connected with external diversity and inclusion organizations, attending events and staying updated with best practices and emerging trends in the field.
- Policy Development:
- Collaborate with HR and legal teams to ensure company policies and procedures promote diversity, equity, and an inclusive workplace.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a diversity and inclusion role, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective training sessions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
