Aliceamp;Bob is developing the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer to solve the world’s hardest problems.
The quantum computer we envision building is based on a new kind of superconducting qubit: the Schrödinger cat qubit. In comparison to other superconducting platforms, cat qubits have the astonishing ability to implement quantum error correction autonomously!
We are at the forefront of the quantum race, competing with tech giants such as Google or IBM. We are growing fast, securing 30 million USD of funding in 2022 to develop our unique technology.

Role
As a Senior Software Engineer at Aliceamp;Bob, your role is to contribute to the building of our in-house software which controls the hardware equipment and the experiments that we perform. Your main customers will be the physicists and engineers who run the quantum measurements at Aamp;B.
Your missions will include:
- Participating in the software development, with a deep focus on the internal control software
- Working with Product team to implement new features
- Hands on development, maintaining and testing of the software code
- Participating in designing and implementing a user-friendly interface that allows scientists to interact with the software easily
- Helping Aliceamp;Bob physicists to develop their code
- Managing code repositories, version control, and overseeing software deployment processes to ensure that the latest stable versions are available to scientists.
- Close collaboration with quantum scientists and researchers is essential. Engineers need to understand the scientific goals and translate them into software requirements.
Requirements
- Solid commercial experience with Python and C or C++
- Proficient with git command line
Beneficial: Experience working on a scientific software tool, General understanding of how modern common CPU architectures work and interact with memory and peripherals, strong experience working closely with product teams.
