An exciting opportunity to join our passionate sales team as a Sales Manager for the North America markets has arisen. In this integral role, you will create and drive market strategy and activation with a detailed plan to grow the direct and indirect sales performance in the North American markets. You will develop and grow sales via distribution partners in target markets and provide recommendations for direct growth. We’re very interested in hearing from candidates who have recent experience working directly within these markets. This role is a permanent position, and we are open to sponsoring candidates who are interested in moving to the UK. Contractors will also be considered.

Internal use only: This is a Grade D role, Travel Level 2 and can be based in London or Paris.

We're looking for someone to:

KEY RESULT AREA

  • Create and manage the implementation of a North America sales activation plan to grow travel trade business.
  • Be responsible for a portfolio of international travel industry partners (i.e. distributors amp; GSA’s) to maintain and grow revenue through B2B channels as well as consumer direct business via Eurostar.com
  • Analyse trends and behaviour within focus markets, prioritise focus and ensure maximum ROI
  • Manage the relationship with distribution partners to ensure maximum awareness, exposure and training for the Eurostar product within the region.
  • Liaise closely with Product, Marketing, Revenue Management and Pricing Teams to ensure product, pricing, revenue management activities and communication are aligned
  • Manage assigned budget and monitor effective spend, including forecasting yearly spend
  • Ensure compliance with company mandatory training, with particular focus on competition law and impacts on contract negotiation
  • Create a pipeline of new business opportunities to directly contract and connect via the direct distribution tools e.g., API, Voyager etc to drive topline sales revenue
  • Clear integrated market plan to raise the profile of Eurostar in the key markets
  • Attend appropriate Trade and Consumer events
  • Ensure a strong promotional plan is in place to support growth and this is supported through Marketing, Communications and PR

Requirements

You'll need:

  • Previous demonstrable experience in a similar role in distribution, commerce and marketing, travel trade or corporate travel management
  • To be a strong relationship builder comfortable to speak/ present to an audience
  • To have strong knowledge within the travel industry (hospitality, airline, car rental, TMC, leisure, OTA as applicable)
  • Previous demonstrable experience working within the North American market
  • Good commercial and analytical capability
  • Understanding of contract management
  • Ability to demonstrate tangible results and delivery
  • Degree or MA in relevant field such as marketing or equivalent work-based experience
  • Desirable - Fluency in French and English
  • Good skills in MS Office and data tools such as Power BI
  • Clear planner and task orientated
  • Aspiring Manager and Team Management
  • Industry awareness in the applicable segments and markets with strong account management skills
  • Ability to work across multiple departments to get the task completed and good cultural awareness
