Intern - Junior Cloud Engineer

As we pass 1,000,000 genomic profiles analyzed and look to the future of our platform, we are now searching for a Junior Cloud engineer who will help in optimizing our cloud usage.

As a Junior Cloud Engineer, you will be part of the Architecture and Technology innovation team. In our Architecture and Technology Innovation team, it is our mission to continuously optimize our cloud usage in order to grow sustainably and allow proper governance. As a result, we need to design, implement and operate new FinOps dashboards, automation and controls in Azure. This will allow to monitor, control and react to changes on our digital transformation while moving our operations to the cloud; powering a multi-modal digital healthcare platform.

Our platform is a one-of-a-kind globally distributed information system that brings together hospitals and labs to provide data processing and analysis based on a multitude of complex sources of structured and unstructured data, including genomics, imaging, and clinical data, delivered as a multi-tenant SaaS platform on the cloud.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The assignment will consist in supporting the Finance Operations team, collaborating in the daily analysis of metrics related to cost, generating new ones, and implementing controls under Azure. The internship will unfold in following stages:

• Acquiring the knowledge on Azure policies, cost automation and cost control related topics and how it works on the cloud.
• Take over the analysis of the cost control and report on it.
• Identify areas to improve, generate new controls and implement them under Azure technologies.
• Development of new dashboards in PowerBI when needed, modify existing and propose improvements.
• Implementation of specific request related to cost and resources, usage and analysis on Azure technologies (KQL queries, policies, Anomaly Detection, etc.)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent level of English
• Knowledge on cloud technologies is a plus (Azure or another cloud providers)
