An opportunity has arisen for a Sales Manager to join the sales team. In this role, you will develop and implement travel management amp; OBT’s sales strategy. You will manage trade bodies in order to maximise revenue, sales growth amp; client loyalty.

Internal use only: This role is a Grade D, Travel Level 2, based in London or Paris

We're looking for someone to:

  • Manage a portfolio of diverse Travel Management Companies, SBT and industry Trade Bodies across our core markets within the corporate model
  • Optimise the use of the sales database to drive revenue and loyalty
  • Effectively manage relationships with key clients to both add value to Eurostar’s product offering and generate incremental sales and revenue delivery
  • Build the reputation of the TMC team across the business
  • Drive the overall TMC sales strategy
  • Ensure that the sales process is followed rigorously with constant refreshing and reporting of pipeline
  • Maintain and build on our relationships with Travel Management Companies, OBT’s and Trade Bodies to maximise our awareness and relationships
  • Identify and assess incremental sales potential within a portfolio of managed Travel Management Companies (profile management) and establish an efficient account plan and calendar activities to drive sales
  • Implement all marketing activities and commercial commitments agreed during the negotiation
  • Reinforce Eurostar’s positioning by actively selling the product and by building on stakeholder interaction (client’s procurement, travel managers, booker network)
  • Track and analyse sales and market-share performance; applying corrective measures where necessary and producing detailed client reporting every month
  • Quarterly client review meetings with your accounts; informing them of product/service amp; technical developments, reviewing sales data and driving client interaction
  • Ensure tailored meetings to influence the client when necessary based on the necessary levers
  • Engage clients in all Eurostar projects
  • Be the voice of the Agencies team internally, bringing insight into the business
  • Balance the client needs with those of the business, ensuring that clients are serviced in the spirit of a positive commercial partnership
  • Play an active role internally to improve Eurostar’s customer offering
  • Ensure that the Sales Managers amp; Sales Support Executive works efficiently, focus on the correct priorities and collaborates constructively.
  • Management of Sales Managers amp; Sales Support Executive with an emphasis on coaching, development, performance management, talent management, succession planning, sickness and exit.

Requirements

You'll need

  • MA in Marketing or Commercial or equivalent work based in experience
  • Substantial experience working in distribution, commerce and marketing, travel trade, corporate travel management
  • French and English fluency
  • Excellent knowledge of sales training: Skilled/Tactical Negotiation, Sales Account Management
  • To be a clear planner and task orientated
  • Good commercial and analytical capability
  • Ability to demonstrate tangible results and delivery
  • Strong relationship builder comfortable to speak/present to an audience
  • Strong knowledge within the travel industry (hospitality, airline, car rental, TMC, leisure, OTA as applicable)
  • Industry awareness in the applicable segments and markets with strong account management skills
  • Ability to work across multiple departments to get the task completed
  • Good cultural awareness
  • Desirable - Interested into the business sectors (banking, consulting, luxury retail, OTA, Leisure as applicable) and /or markets
  • Desirable - German or Dutch language skills
