At GOURMEY, you will report directly to the Head of Quality amp; Food Safety, and you will work in a team of 3 gourmates.
What will you be responsible for?
Gourmey’s Quality Control Engineer plays a central role in ensuring the quality of Gourmey’s day-to-day operations.
Within the role, you will:
- Support the development and implementation of QC assays
- Conduct routine and non-routine cell line quality assays (sterility, identity, others as required).
- Conduct routine and non-routine quality assays to determine the quality compliance of raw materials, reagents / chemicals and finished products.
- Perform environmental monitoring of labs amp; production facilities to control biological and chemical hazards (e.g., routine quality testing of air , equipment surfaces, processing environment, and water systems)
- Contribute to the writing of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and QMS documentation related to quality testing.
- Coordinate and organize the preparation and shipment of samples to external QC laboratories.
- Tracking of analytical testing and reporting of potential quality issues.
- Reporting of QC results to Gourmey’s Analytical Development amp; QC Lead
The ideal candidate has previous experience in a QC laboratory, a high level of organisation, is a team player, a good multi-tasker and strong communicator.
This role will work closely with the Analytical Development amp; QC Lead (when hired), our Head of Lab Operations, QA team and various scientists and engineers in Gourmey.
What about you?
- +2 years minimum of proven experience in a Pharmaceutical Industry or in a GLP/GMP laboratory environment in a QC role.
- Experience in handling cell culture samples and with molecular biology techniques (DNA/RNA and protein based)
- Experience with standard pluripotency assay (qPCR, FACS, alkaline phosphatase), standard sterility assay (mycoplasma etc..), genetic stability assays.
- Strong technical knowledge of microbial testing methodologies and microbiology problem solving skills
- Basic knowledge of environmental monitoring methods and GLP/ GMP.
- Proficient in French and English, both written and spoken.
- With the ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with all team members, you are hands-on, action-driven and you carry out projects to completion.
- Enthusiastic, with a strong work ethic and self-motivation; a sense of ownership and responsibility to drive outcomes. Efficient and self-organized.
