ManoMano is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Apprentice Security Engineer to join our Security Team. As an Apprentice Security Engineer, you will work closely with the team, which currently consists of a Security Manager, a Data Protection Officer (DPO) Security, three Ethical Hackers, and a Cloud Security Engineer.In this role, you will be responsible for developing and integrating tools, with a focus on Python development. You will also collaborate with developers, providing them with the necessary tools to identify and address potential threats. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in application security and contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:- Develop and integrate tools using Python to support the Security Team's objectives.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure the availability of appropriate tools to address potential security threats.
- Implement and fine-tune application security tools, such as Software Composition Analysis (SCA), Static Application Security Testing (SAST) with a focus on enhancing the developer user experience.
- Automate and integrate security processes and controls throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) to source control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and production deployments.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and emerging security technologies.
- Collaborate with the existing Security Team to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities and risks.
- Participate in security audits, assessments, and penetration testing activities.
- Contribute to security awareness initiatives and provide training to developers on secure coding practices.
- Maintain and enhance documentation related to security processes and tools.
Requirements:- Proficiency in Python development is a must-have skill.
- Strong understanding of common and uncommon web application vulnerabilities
